Taught by Hazel Firth;
BA Hons in Contemporary Dance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire. She has a wealth of experience teaching Contemporary and Ballet to all age ranges and levels. (She is also one of The Rose Arts London resident Tutors!) As a professional dancer, Hazel has performed in productions across Europe. Her credits include Becky Namguad’s latest outdoor work Rodadoras and other performances for Grov Productions and Simple Dance Company.
Classes with Hazel are dynamic and explorative with explosive movement. There is a focus on strength, technique & flexibility while having fun at the same time.
Double Junior & Senior
11am – 3pm
6 -16 years
Drama Technique, Games, Improvisation, Team Building, Vocalisation, Choreography, Industry Advice, Commercial, Hip Hop & AfroHouse Technique.
Taught by Sophia Sinclair;
A London-based Actress, trained at the RADA Youth Theatre, Lambeth College & graduated in Drama, Theatre and Performance from the University of Roehampton who combines her skills of performing and teaching in the television, film, theatre and modelling industry. In Summer 2018 she became the face of Lambeth College & London South Bank University in a huge campaign across ITV, SKY TV, online streaming services, YouTube, Social Media & London buses despite leaving the college 15 years ago and being in her 30’s. (Winning!)
Sophia began teaching in a voluntary capacity, mentoring students at Lambeth College and returning to give talks, workshops and drama school audition prep to her peers looking to make a career in the industry. They soon offered her a role, running the Drama Enrichment programme. She regularly facilitates Drama workshops building self-esteem & confidence through improvisation, games, exercises and movement. As well as directing and devising performances of poetry, fairy tales, popular children’s films and musicals.
Acting credits include: TV Footballers (BEN TV, SKY), News Revue (Canal Cafe), Love Thy Fro: The Musical (Theatre Peckham), The Rally (Stockwell Playhouse), Do You Know Where Your Daughter Is? (Hackney Empire, Soho Theatre, Gilded Balloon, Edinburgh). Headcount (National Theatre Studios) Commercials include Barclaycard, Three, Doritos, TCP, Earth’s Greatest and Lambeth College.
Taught by Tia Denton;
Graduated with a First Class Degree from The University of East London’s BA (Hons) Dance: Urban Practice Course. Tia has trained in many styles yet she specialises in teaching those that come under the ‘Street Dance’ umbrella including Hip Hop, House, Popping, Locking and Dancehall.
Most recently, Tia has filmed for a Channel 4 sitcom that is due to air in 2020! Alongside teaching, Tia is also a member Unity UK Dance Company who regularly perform and compete both locally and internationally whilst representing the UK.
Alongside her dance experience, Tia has also trained in Musical Theatre and therefore is able to provide the children she teaches with a wide range of extensive knowledge and advice relating to the Performing Arts Industry.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
My child is not a student, how much do I have to pay?
For our Sow & Grow Nurture 3 – 5 years 60 minute workshop, this is a total of £6 fun and goodness!
For our Double Junior & Senior 6 – 16 years 3 hour workshop, this is a total of £25 technique, advice, ‘blossoming’ moves and drama technique!
These can be booked via the tabs below.
There are a mixture of Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced, how will this benefit me?
All groups will be mixed. Our TRAL Tutors & Guest Teachers ensure that each dancer is pushed to their capability and all elements of the class are broken down for the less experienced dancer/performer in the group.
Who is teaching the classes?
The workshops will be taught by Hazel Firth, Sophia Sinclair and Tia Denton. The Rose Arts London have partnered with these respected artists and will be providing exclusive access to drama technique and dance choreography.
Do we have to complete our registration form for our child onsite?
It’s simple! Registration for our workshops are done via our online registration form, which are located at the bottom of this page.
We kindly request you complete all the relevant information, followed by payment and a booking confirmation email, from us here at The Rose Arts London will follow.
What should my child bring?
Please bring plenty of water and a light lunch. (There is a water fountain onsite too)
What do they wear?
We recommend all who are participating in The Rose Arts London Workshops wear all black, comfortable clothing.
