Don’t Walk! Dance!
Dance is a hidden language of the soul – Martha Graham
In Wikipedia, the definition states; Dance is a performing art form consisting of purposefully selected sequences of human movement”
Here at The Rose Arts London, view dance as an exploration of movement, through using the body as an instrument of expression, passion, communication and understanding. Dance provides individuals, to learn through a series of choreography, technique, growth and teamwork.
Creativity is a large element in dance as it allows improvisational skills to awaken new ideas in children as well as adults, allowing them to learn and think within a fresh outlook.
Dancers – whether it be a toddler, child, teenager, adult or the elder generation, it allows the need of expression and communication of ideas, promoting confidence, independent value, self and spatial awareness, technique adaption and performance qualities.
The vocabulary of movement allows freedom, encouraging each student to build beyond obstacles, out of there comfort zones and utilise their imagination, thus allowing them to test their own personal boundaries.
Through dance, it allows a platform for each individual to better understand themselves and all they have to face, whether that be in their careers, academically and communication.
JUST DANCE!
